I will stamp all over 'serious fighter' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be shown live on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming bout.

Former two time world heavyweight champion Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Fighter's Attitude

"I'm going to break his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.

"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to genuinely try to injure him. That's my intention."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally famous for his dramatics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead targeted former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer commented.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Paul's Background

Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.

Commercial Attraction

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's largest money-making draws, consistently making substantial paydays.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in round four or five and stated he would prevent the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.

"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.

Physical Difference

As both boxers engaged in the customary stare-down, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it highlighted just how improbable this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the bout is really going ahead.
