WHere is an easy interpretation of a drink found on our latest drinks list. Designed as a party-sized pre-mixed that's packed with essence of the Christmas time, which makes it excellent for your celebration. Any leftover cordial to use in brunch beverages, desserts, or to mix another batch of this cocktail.
The Bikini Cocktail
Serves 10 servings
Ingredients for the Clementine Cordial (yields 750ml)
300ml newly squeezed clementine juice
200ml fresh lemon juice
500g granulated sugar
Ingredients for the Premix (yields 850ml, to serve 10)
400ml good quality vodka
100ml dry gin
150ml peach-flavored liqueur
200ml clementine cordial (from the recipe above)
Fresh cranberries, to garnish
Mandarin essential oil, to finish
Method
For the Cordial: Place every components inside a saucepan, bring to a simmer, agitating so the sugar melts. Then, remove from the heat and let it to reach room temperature fully. Decant into an sterilised bottle, cap it and store in the refrigerator, it will last for about one month.
For the Cocktail Base: Mix every spirits and syrup in a big jug, let it rest for one hour, then filter it best through cheesecloth, so it's completely strained.
To serve: Add 85ml of your premix into a stirring glass packed with ice, and stir lightly for one minute to cool it down. Pour to a frosted cocktail glass or similar, decorate with the cranberries and complete it with a brief mist with the mandarin essence over the drink.
